LabourWare management is made up of an
outstanding combination of highly skilled and experienced
individuals. We have two members, each with more than
twenty five years of direct experience working for Canada’s
largest union, an entrepreneur with twenty five years
business building experience, another with more than thirty
years experience founding, funding and growing technology
start-ups.
Ray Arsenault
is our lead Labour Consultant. After some 30 years with the
Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Ray retired in May
1999 and started his consulting firm. Thanks to the extensive
experience he gained during all those years in the labour
movement, Ray can offer comprehensive services in all aspects
of labour relations. He has presented well over 200
arbitration cases during his career, participated in countless
numbers of negotiations, conciliation and mediation sessions.
Peter
Douglas
is our
other lead Labour Consultant. Peter retired in January,
2005 as Ontario Regional Director after over 30 years on
CUPE staff. Starting out in the Hamilton Area Office and
also spending time in the CUPE Airline Division, the
Peel Area Office in Mississauga and the Ontario Regional
Office, Peter developed a wide exposure to the different
aspects of work in the labour movement. He also
participated in numerous rounds of negotiations
(including central hospital bargaining), presented over
150 arbitration cases and also spent a term as President
of the Hamilton Labour Council.
Gabriel Louli
is the primary system architect, sales and project management
contact for the company. He has experience in providing end
user training in large ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle as
well as many desktop applications. He has more than twenty
five years of business experience, with the past ten years
focusing on providing Labour with training and services such
as web based database applications. Gabriel understands the
culture and the needs of Unions. His understanding of the
processes that Labour unions have to go through, tied to his
extensive ERP experience, were the impetus for the creation of
our Labour Tools.
Gabriel has completed training projects for
Nav Canada, Oceans and Fisheries Canada, Madison Square Garden
and Radio City Music Hall in New York, in Oracle Financials,
as well as Department of Foreign Affairs Canada in SAP.
Girvan Patterson
will be providing counsel on Corporate Structure and
Financing. Girvan has over thirty years experience founding,
funding and growing technology start-ups. Four of the
companies he co founded have gone on to IPO or acquisition.
In addition to corporate services, in the early stages of
company development, Girvan, will assist with web hosting and
administration as well as serving on the Board of Directors.
Paul Backs is
our senior programmer and technical advisor. Possessing over
18 years of proven IT/IS/MIS industry experience, Paul has
assisted in various start-ups and pre-IPO companies in
conceptualizing and implementing their information and Web
Technology infrastructures, both nationally and
internationally.
A strong supporter of the growing Linux
community, he is active in the development of open source,
commercial software applications, web enabled applications as
well as e-commerce sites. His combination of hands-on
leadership style and excellent communication skills enables
him to continually drive focused teams toward performance
excellence. He has a proven record in streamlining
operations, relating technical information to end users and
leading projects to fruition.
Don Collier
has extensive transaction processing and fault-tolerant
programming experience, over four years UNIX/Linux software
development experience, 3 years of SQL Database experience,
six years object-oriented, embedded RTOS software development,
over 15 years of data communications protocol experience and
custom and standards based protocol stack development
experience. |
